Karting alike most sports is a hard one to master. We’ve written a few helpful tips to help you along the way.
The tyres on the kart will be cold initially meaning less grip and a higher risk of spinning out. Build up speed over 4-5 laps and you’ll be sticking to the track like glue in no time.
Drive at a pace you feel comfortable at, don’t fly around because you feel pressurised to do so. The main thing is that you enjoy yourself.
Don’t lose control and let the competitiveness rule your mind. Be calm and composed that’s how you’ll win.
Ensure your race suit is comfortable and your helmet is on securely, ask one of our marshals you have any worries. Please listen to the safety brief and track guidelines.
Avoid erratic movements whilst driving. Keep your steering smooth to avoid spinning out.
Avoid tunnel vison when you’re on the track, keep your eyes peeled for potential hazards and other drivers especially on corners.
